Why throw it? Even if you're happy to buy an Elite still keep it. Just force it to red ring, send it to MS and flog it when you get it back and in the meantime buy an Elite.
 
How much is an elite? I am still undecided over ps3 or 360 due to the issues with the 360...

mine red ringed, i turned it off then on again. it worked for 3 hours+
i went to it the next day and it was dead, never to turn on again :p
and now its in some other country being repaired

:confused:Awww diddums just because it had the 3 red rings you now decide to throw it away...talk about throwing your toys out the pram...how silly can you get??.

Look you get a 3yr warranty for the RLOD so ring up M$, get them to come and collect it...get it fixed...it will be fixed...then do what i did. Soon as i get my old premium back i went to the high st retailer that allows you to trade games in. Traded my premium in for the elite, did that back in Oct of last yr and since then i have had no probs. Sadly i didnt get the falcon version...guess i missed out but i havent had any probs with the elite i have now.

Fupping hell...do you throw your plates away after each meal and buy new ones instead of washing them up too?

Wish I lived in a parallel universe where £280 is considered 'pennies'.
