Yep - had my lovely little Focus for 18 weeks and I get rear-ended

Really gutted.

Now to wait on courtesy car and find our if mine is written off.

Aye fine, cheers.

Rear-ended as I was about to turn into a parking space and my car was spun 90 degress and broadsided a parked car.

Gonna need new Bumber (Front and Back), Offisde front and back wings, and both doors and rear wing nearside. dont hold out much hope for a repair job to be honest.

Ended up on the pavement after hitting small wall. Just really glad there was no-one on the pavement at the time.

The other person must have been going at a fair whack! Shame about the poor Focus:( Least you're OK though!

how hard were you hit?

Fair whack I must admit.

Road was wet after rain for last few hours. Just have to wait and see as a report is being submitted so obviously cant say to much. Just really gutted about the car. Had it valetted yesterday!!

On a similar note - I was sat at the lights this morning and my car jolted. Thought, 'that's odd, I'm not in gear' thinking I'd slipped off the clutch like a retard. Alas, no, the lady behind had been holding the clutch and slipped off! Never seen someone look so shocked in my rear view mirror. It wasn't enough to do any damage so I just waved 'it's ok' and we both drove off when lights went green. In hindsight, now she'll probably tell the police I reversed into her! Karma :(

Apparently you don't have to accept their payout and can ask for a repair to your satisfaction?

Which Focus was it? I hope you're alright and everything works out. Are you using a seperate company to manage the claim?

How did you know (at the time) it didn't do any damage. Her number plate screw covers could have easily put two night round dints into your bumper.

Unless of course your car is so beat up two extra dints would be unnoticed?

I've been known to touch park a couple of times on my drive. ;)

How's your neck? :p

I know how bad it can be buying a new car, owning it for a few weeks and something like this happens - the main this is you're okay though :)
