Just brought and setup Mission M32i and M33i speakers, denon avr-2106 amp and a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty card. All i can say is wow... The same kinda wow as i had from upgrading from £10 speakers to Creative 2.1 megaworks (Still using the sub;). Simply cannot fault my set up, never before really looked at sound as an upgrade, it does make a BIG difference. Thanks for the inspiration on this forum :D :D

Get rid of the sub! The M33's will go much lower and much cleaner! Get yourself a centre speaker too if you want proper surround sound.

How are you connecting everything together?

Good work on the hi-fi setup though, I wish more people would go down that route.

I can switch off the sub no probs but it apparantly goes down to 20hz unlike the 48hz the m33i do. Depending on the music it does sound better without the sub, must admit the sub is needed when i play drum and bass ;)

Im pushed for space and £££ (Spent £far too much aleady) for a centre sub.

Ive biwired my speakers using gale wire and bana sockets. Ive got standard / cheap phono to 3.5mm jacks between the sound card and amp. Ive seen the creative lead kit but doubt its worth it considering the cost/quality amount.

*edit centre speaker & banana

Theres no way your sub goes down to 20Hz. I've got some test tones and my logitech sub (From Z-2200) goes to a constant tone at about 55Hz. Its quoted much lower than that.

Speakers from a proper Hi-Fi company should be much more conservative.

I say get rid of the sub, but to be honest if it sounds better to you, then keep it. I am surprised that those big mission floorstanders can't cope on their own! My M72s (basically older m32) never lacked bass and my current 783s probably have slightly too much!

A centre speaker will make movies loads better if you're not sat right inbetween the fronts. For music it's debateable, and I just stick to stereo. You should be able to pick up a second hand m3c for not too much, and they can't cost too much new now. Saying that, don't just go buying any old thing, make sure it's matched to your fronts otherwise panning sounds will be strange.
