That is where you are wrong. I have the 7800GS+, which is basically a 7900GT PCI-e but in an AGP wrapper via a bridge chip.
If it wasnt for Gainward, I think that AGP would have faced the end of its life already, and people are buying them as they only made 1500 units of these cards, and the last I heard there were about 250 units remaining.
