I downloaded the new NBA2k7 demo today, its not a patch on NBA08 by EA sports, they have improved this monumentally, just as they have with NHL08, FIFA08 and Madden08.

I never thought id see the day again when i would buy every single EA sports game, but this year its a must for a sports fan.

Well done to EA for doing something right, they get a lot of flack, but you can now kinda see where they have been going.

I've only played the FIFA demo on the PS3 so far and I wasn't too impressed but Madden and NHL are fantastic games. NHL wasn't a huge jump in quality from last year, which was pretty ace anyway, but Madden... wow

Im suprised that its taken until FIFA 2007 to make a game that rivals Pro Evo really. I mean they can chuck as much money onto developing the game as they like and its took them a fair while to sort themselves out.

Also, is there a lot of madden fans on here, or even the UK for that matter? I wouldnt have thought there wouldve been a lot of interest in the UK with the madden series.

On Madden.. the last one I bought was 92, which has has been the best so far imo. Will probably be purchasing '08, having played the demo, though.

Definately, I wont be getting them all at launch. But will probably be picking up each one between now and January. The only one I might not buy is Madden 08... But may grab the PC version when it comes out on the cheap later on in the year.

Used to be a big NFL fan, but I've lost interest in it in recent years what with not having Sky any more.

NHL this year feels very good, the stick controls are very realistic and the overall gameplay of the game is very impressive.

NBA08 seems to be leaps and bouds ahead of NBA 2k8.

FIFA 08 is a massive improvement, and probably the big shocker for a lot of people. You still get a lot of die hard PES fans dismissing it simply because it's FIFA - but I'm very impressed this year. I normally buy both PES and FIFA each year anyway...

Outside of EA Sports, Skate... well, if it lives up to the potential that the demo has shown.... it should be a phenomenal end to 2007 for EA.

I think Skate has shocked many people as well, there have been many of us that have watched it for so long - but I think it will give a lot of the people that loved the THPS series a real treat. And (at least in my opinion anyway) it's shown just how god-awful the Tony Hawks series has got :(

NBA 2K8 beats Live 08 easily

s'pose if you like arcade, then go LIVE, sim go 2k8

I actually thought it was the other way around playing the demo's, im not a hardcore basketball fan by any means, but to me nba08 looked next gen, 2k8 looked pretty rough, although it played well enough.

The big improvement EA have made on the games, apart from the gameplay, is all of them playing at 60fps, they feel so smooth now.

I buy one of the nba games every year and for quite a few years now 2k have had my money but this time I'll be buying nba live. The 2k8 demo just seemed like a rebranded 2k7 to me wheras live has moved on in leaps and bounds in the gameplay department.

Well i've got skate pre-ordered and its likely i'll get Fifa 08 after the superb demo. Might get an NHL this year but not sure which, always found NBA and Madden games pretty boring.

I was the same, NBA and Madden i found quite tedious, Madden probably moreso, it was always fun attacking, but defending was quite boring.

Im still undecided on Madden, i will probably wait and get it cheaper, its £49.99 in store which is too much, around the £30 mark and id go for it straight away.

Never been a big skate boarding fan after having a few different Tony Hawks I never bother the lats few years but I downloaded Skate and it was awesome I much prefer the controls and will be picking this up with out a doubt. I download Tony Hawks but didn't do it for, well done EA :D hope you've improved Fifa 08 too...

I went into town today and picked up NHL08 and Madden 08 - rip off high street prices, but after playing the demo's all afternoon yesterday, it had to be done :)

3 down, 3 to go :)

EA Sports have done a lot right for quite a while, they've always strived to better their games. They were unfairly tainted because PES was better than Fifa. That's it.

Madden, NBA, NHL etc.. have always been very good. If anything the change really happened last year when they built a new engine on ALL their games.

Yeh the change did happen last year, but it still wasnt quite right, and the framerate was 30fps for the games, the big thing for me this year is what a difference 60fps makes in the games nokkon, just makes everything feel so much more fluid and how a sports game should be.

Unfortunately ive got some horrible lurgy working on me and i cant bring myself to play any games at the moment, by the weekend ill be in sports heaven though, with the new fifa and hopefully skate (is it out this week?) added to the list.
