Just installed a new card ........

I've just replaced my xt850 xtpe with a used X1950xtx. Running a few benchmarks I get

3DMark03 - 18295
3DMark05 - 10134
3DMark06 - 5130

Does that look about right?

Rest of the system is AMD 64 3800+, 2gb Geil 3200 400mhz, DFI Lanparty UT nf4 UltraD.

Looks pretty good, especially for an A64.

A bit on the low side, I think your CPU is holding back the scores.

Pretty normal for a single core A64 I suppose.

Yup they look pretty much spot on

Yup.

But your cpu is definatly holding things back though. My C2D@ 3.2ghz and a X1800XT (mildly OCed though) gets 10500 (3D05) and 5300 (3D06).
