just installed dead space, whats up with the mouse?

First time playing and the mouse is all weird and unresponsive, you move it and it drags behind loads impossible to play, also tried adjusting sensitivity but it doesnt help, is this a known problem?

Turn off in game vsync, turn it on in gfx control panel, turn mouse sensitivity up in game.

Bought this game recently and enjoying it, nearly onto chapter four. Although i have just about got used to the lolzy mouse sensitivity, i'm thinking i might switch to xbox 360 controller for the remainder of the game.

I used the 460 controller, worked well with it.

However the angle of camera gave me neck ache after a few hours!!!

Apart from the severe mouse lag some people have (known bug), the rest the control system and awkward viewing angles are done for a good reason, to create tension and panic in the player - all the best surival horror games do it (Silent Hill, Resident Evil, etc).

it's cause your mouse is emulating a joystick

Yes the mouse is a known issue, it's a shame.. because that's probably the only let down I could find with the game.

You can also edit the games config file and increase the mouse sensitivity way past what you can set it in the menus. It makes the mouse very skittish in the front end, but makes aming much easier.

In Vista/7 the config file is located at Username/AppData/Local//Electronic Arts/Dead Space/settings.txt

Just throwing it out there that the PC is not a port at all its the lead version according to the developers!

And it's so easy to fix by doing a quick google search! It makes me so angry how some people are unable to do a search for the most simple problem such as mouse lag. 99% of the time there IS a fix out there, and granted it shouldn't be a problem in the first place, but I don't understand people who play through the entire game like that and then at the end blame the game.

Using a 360 controller for this game is so much easier. In fact it was the rubbish controls in this game that made me buy the controller.

Can't wait for the sequel

I think you need to get some Tampons, have a soak in a hot bath and eat lots of chocolate

Lead platform where they have been unable to make the control system all pc's have used for over a decade work?

Either they're horrifically bad developers and should probably stop or it's a port.
