I follow the link to the screenshots page from another forum, see a few Eve ones, download it, and before I know it, its midnight!

I havent even finished the tutorial yet.
I can see this game lasting a while :D

I found myself in empire for some reason, playing around with my new command ship setup.
sometimes its just so good to watch your ship fly around blowing structures up!

I'm just on the 14 day trial, and as far as I know I dont need to buy the game, I just have to pay the monthly subs if I want to keep playing.

eve - say good bye to your family life.
its less kiddy than WOW.
EVE- where even the forums have PVP.

you do have to buy it :( At least i did . a year ago. was 20 quid
 
eve is by subscription, think arond £11 per month but gets cheaper if you pay for multiple months in one go, personally i think its worth it, if you *** somewhere to start speak to the people from oc-ps, theyre members from this forum and would help you on your way
 
Yes you have to pay per month and there is an initial account creation fee for which is added on to the first subscription. However you can bypass this by using EVE Game Time Codes. I buy mine from EVE Time Codes and it works out much cheaper in the long run. You can also buy them with ISK on the EVE forums when you have a well established income. :p
 
I remember getting this game in a bargain bucket for £5 with a month or two fre subs. I installed it not expecting too much and my jaw hit the ground. It was beautiful. So peaceful to play.



Got a bit bored though and didn't continue with it.
 
whaa, just wasted a few hours on this... not really my bag... way too slow and omg how in-depth!?! Too much to learn, or i simply just dont have THAT much free time lol, shame, as it could probably be a good game. I've got four weeks off work but really i just dont want to spend it all on one game lol :p
 
reinstalled this last night, I last played over a year ago, but im straight back into it, what happened to today? all I remember is I woke up at about 8am and now its 11pm...... damn, ive earnt 8mill in my first full day of playing though, not a bad start to say I had no clue what I was doing most of the time.
 
eve is a beautiful game, and not just visually.

i've been playing for almost 3 years and it still finds ways to amaze me.

the makers (ccp) are currently working on DX10 version for vista, it's going to be stunning.
