Just lapped my heatsink but

I just wiped away the muck from the cpu cooler base with a cloth,then i got up this moring and noticed green stuff on my nails,i know this is from the lapping,the question i want to ask will this stuff do anything to cpu? should i take it back off and clean it with somit like Alcohol.

Just clean it off with some isopropyl, should be fine

Funny thing is i have some isopropyl but didnt want to go looking for it,now found and i think i`ll do what you said,just to be safe

the green is just a reaction with the copper. You know how penny coins go green after a while

Ive heard that ppl who live near the middlands have an alergic reaction to the copper - causes some kind of chemical reaction which makes the blood turn green and very thin so that it can seep throught skin and nails. The full reaction will complete in about 2 weeks where you will have pointy ears and unstopable cravings for guacamoli.

Actually if you urinate on copper it will go green quick, so maybe you did some lapping then went to the mens room and was a bit sloppy with your hand positioning.

Anyway about lapping, Ive just lapped the ihs on my e6300 ihs because it was pretty cr4p. The edges were higher than the centre!
