Did the motherboard box show any signs of being opened previously?

Maybe they sent you a used board and tried to pass it off as new?

If you received it and it was broke I reckon you are well within your right to demand a replacement.

I haven't ever received a motherboard with bent pins so I'm not sure if it is a common problem.

I'm sure if something is not fit for purpose i.e broken when you receive it you can take it back.

from ocuk's T&Cs :

"8.3 If the goods supplied to you are damaged on delivery, you should notify the Supplier in writing via the e-mail address or fax number shown below within 7 days. "

When did you receive the board and when did you email the complaint?

Read the T&Cs and physical damage voids your warranty if you caused it. If it arrived damage then you have case to exercise you rights.

Why are you RMAing it?

Just return it as DOA. You have bought a brand new product... the product has turned up damaged (whether it was produced defective, or the Courier damaged it is not your concern), send it back to OcUK stating that it came damaged and they'll swap it with another (hopefully not a dud this time).

Simples.

I've already sent it to OCuK today. as i said, OCuK said it warrenty is void as its physical damage and MSI will say the same thing. hopefully the manager Chris will be able to fix it.

Hey Ross, if you can make a post in the Customer Service thread we shall have a look for you in the morning. :)
