Just Migrated To Sky Broadband Unlimited, but Slow Connection

I've just migrated over to Sky Broadband Unlimited which got activated today but am only getting 4MB connection out of my 20MB line, i was getting 14MB with PlusNet.

Do i need to wait 10 day for my connection to build up or should i get onto Sky and tell them to up my profile ?

Also how long did you guys have to wait before your connection improved ?

DLM is running on the line,
The default profile is 4Mbps
This will run for 10 - 15 days so leave the router on 24/7 and the speed will go up soon enough

Mine shot up to 16mb after 48 hours then settled on 18 on day 6 afaik training takes 10 days to establish your profile although it'll still alter your rate if needed.

Accidently plugged the phone and the modem in the wrong way around a couple of days and it seems to have taken 0.5mbps off my profile which still hasnt recovered yet. I wouldnt have thought you'd be able to connect the wrong way through a microfilter D:

Yea never thought u could get connected plugging the wrong way round lol, still least ya didn't lose that much, plus glad ya on a gd connection though, i'll be happy if i get 18mbps too

DLM runs for SEVEN days, not 10 or 14. You should see a pretty significant boost overnight then slowly it'll push the speed up.

Dlm will run for 10 - 15 days as it take time for assia to look at the line start and then the next night it will make a profile change if the line is stable,
If the line is not stable it will watch and collect the line stats before maling any changes,

At times i have seen dlm running on lines for any thing up to 25 days.
