Hello people, i have finally completed my custom built pc apart from my graphics card and was wondering which one to get weither it be a gtx 1080 or the 1080 ti oc. any help would be much appriciated

ofc gtx 1080ti if you can afford it, but imo gtx 1080 is good enough for your buck. Ti seems to me like a massive overkill.

If you have the money the 1080ti is the card to have when gaming at a decent resolution with high/ultra settings.

That monitor is a 1080p 144Hz ? So a GTX 1070 or 1080 would do fine. A 1080 ti is a bit overpowered for that resolution unless you are wanting to max out the refresh rate.

would personally get 1080 as it will driver 144hz longer then a 1070 would - I have a feeling the 1070 Ti will be out of stock as soon as it lands and then prices might saw as in theory - its the perfect mining card

You 100% want to get 1080TI with that Build, not sure why people say its overkill because its not ! not if you Game at 2k ( 1440 ) or 4K and have the Graphics on ultra , when lets be honest if you can do this you do it.

I have the 1080TI and I get 60 FPS + on all games on ultra so 100% get that for your build if you want it too last.

quick google, screen was 1080p , could be wrong though

If youre still gaming at 1080p then i highly recommend you get a 2k one 1440p res it looks so much nicer and not over kill like the 4k - 4K to me looked stupidly to sharp for myliking.
