Good morning all,

Well, finaly sorted out my Vista last night, had a play with it. And, as expected, i have come against a few problems. :(. So, I am hoping I can solve them today...with some luck..?

Now, programs I like, that i have not managed to get working are these:

Logitech Setpoint

I use this software for my MX1000 mouse. Now, all the buttons on the mouse work, but the application button and featurs that I normally use. When I installed the program, the instalation went through just fine. However, upon restarting I get an error saying Quicktour could not start, then when I open settings program for the mouse i get the infomation tab, but no settings tab. it's like half of the program is installed. I checked on their site, they don't have a download for Vista? :(

Need For Speed Carbon

The game runs, well it starts up, shows EA logo and plays the sound. Then, before it gets to loading screen, it goes off and back to the desktop, telling me that nfsc.exe has stopped working.

Power DVD 7

Now, this is the only player I use for my DVD movies, as well that's all I have. I do like it. I installed it, and in the first stage of installing, I get the following error: "ikerenal.exe could not be copied to program files\Common Files..ect..ect, make sure you have permision to copy to this folder?

Adobe reader 7

Just won't install? :(
That's all for now I think.

Now, has anyone got fixes for these programs or can suggest something better to use if possible?
Also is anyone using these program on vista and working?

Thanks for ANY help guys!

Hi mate

Nero works (from 7.5.9.0 upwards) although the current version is 7.7.5.1, but it definately works.

Setpoint - Logitech have yet to release a compatible version.

Need for Speed - Don't Know

Power DVD - again definately works (i have version 7) or you can use VLC player which is quite good

Adobe - it should work (via an update) but i use Foxit reader (currently BETA for vista) which is much quicker in opening pdf files.

Don't need to test it, just see if the option is there?

Have you downloaded the most recent Lightscribe System Software?

It can be found here

Do remember Lightscribe is a plugin for various labeling solutions so you have to keep an eye out for updates from the lightscribe sight.

Sweet, now Lightscribe works! :D

2003 works fine?

I tried installing 2007 before I left for work this morning, and it gave me an error, so left it and went to work. Will try tonight.

Thanks
