With all my health issues and the fact i'm disabled, I was finally able at the end of october to have my own place. But sad as it maybe the only thing that keeps me going apart from my family is my computer. I feel happy, can do my pictures and play games with my friends.

Today though after only having the system for much less than a month, it's dead and I don't know why :(. I noticed last night while playing games it felt slower than usual and i was getting brrrrrrp sounds and hard lock ups while playing BF3. It was lag a little when opening and closing tabs in a browser and took ages to unpack files. It always passed prime before hand and intel burn test however..

Last night while listening to music and on OCUK, the system just shut itself off like I'd had a power cut. I pressed the power button, nothing!

Took the power lead out waited a few mins, put the power lead back in and the power light would flash on and off and the only thing that would move very slightly was a fan. Nothing else and if i try to power it again dead! . Take the cable out, wait put it back in same thing power light on comp comes on for a split second, case fan moves and nothing again.

I know it's just a computer but i was nearly in tears as so far this entire year nothing whatsoever has gone right and I can't go into it

Thanks all :(

Craig doubtful it's the card as when i plug the power supply cable I press the power button and for less than three seconds the power LED light comes on and goes off. The fan doesn't whirr, it just well moves slightly probably to indicate it's just had a very short burst of power. If i try the power button again, nothing NO led NO fan movement. Completely dead!,

Wait 5mins plug power cable back in, Press power button the power led lights up flickers and goes off again. Fan moves once and that goes off, no whirrin

Devrij can't afford it, I took a hit even buying this as it has to be payed off monthly :(

No bad smells whatsoever, apart from my own ;)

Is it a prebuild, or one you built yourself?
Built myself using all of ocuk parts..

I took the computer upstairs at my family home now, plugged the power cord in turned it on with one memory stick in, no hd, no cdrw and no fans apart from the rear fan and cpu. I saw every led light on the motherboard, the power light come on for what was a fraction of a second, the fan moves slightly and thats it, dead again. Press the power button nothing, totaly dead.

No , the other psu in the family home is only a 400w and doesn't even have the two cpu connections lol 15-20A 12v

POWER SUPPLY!!

Plugged cable GREEN / BLACK on main connection as per instructions
Plugged in a Fan into molex connection

Flicked the switch, The psu fan moved and the fan moved slightly then straight away instant off. The fans probably moved about a cm :p

What bugs me is people always say " NEVER BUY UNBRANDED " Always make sure you buy such and such. Well i had a case psu that lasted 4 years and a qtech that lasted 5, both branded psu's that i've ever purchased have died shortly after :(

Just tried the same test on the cheapo 400w and that stays on, my psu shuts itself off within 1sec if not less of being powered up.

£22.70 for that to be delivered tomorrow which is expensive, hope i get delivery refunded if found faulty which it should do. I also hope it's tested and a new one is sent to me before the weekend as being disabled I need it to occupy myself :(

hope you get it fixed soon neil - had the pleasure of murdering you repeatedly on BC2 many a time and have yet to had the pleasure on BF3 !

Not had much chance at all, not been my month... :(

£34 for a power supply?

You should spend decent money on a high quality PSU at all times!

£34?

Looks at price on his order form

£42 and i phoned up overclockers uk before I ordered the system and they said it would be just fine. Even reviews on websites gave it a high ranking!........ Oooops Sorry Mrk you were talking to someone else lol :D

However

Out of stock Item Unavailable, NICE :(

I've just also just realized, I've not put the UK power cable from wall socket to psu in the RMA box as I left the american power cable still in the box. Though i'd let them know, been under a lot of stress and health problems today and I've just remembered now. Damn it :(

According to the Delivery tracking it arrived at OCUK, however nothing has appeared in my RMA account area history and no email from ocuk to say it was received and being tested. Any idea how long it usually takes? :)

Greebo..

My psu would only power a fan and itself for about half a second before shutting itself off :D.

I think the fan my moved about half a cm :D

:D:D:D:D:D

The product CA-046-OC on ***** has been replaced, this will be sent on a new order with order number ****

This will be despatched as soon as possible, subject to stock availability.

It was FAULTY

However as I did not want another OCZ because of the issues with that brand of power supply I wanted something different, so they are sending me a CORSAIR 600W instead for tomorrow..

THANKS OCUK, WIN! :cool::cool:

You don't realise how much you rely on your system until it fails :p My graphics card died a few months back, I was that distraught I drove straight out to OCUK and brought another :p - beauty of living 2 minutes away :) :D

I know!, I don't even have a TV i'll be damned if i stare at a wall :p

I'm back!!

Record quick return time for OCUK and they even replaced it for a different brand as the OCZ wasn't in stock. Nice one guys, now all i need is my delivery refund ;)

Hopefully this psu lasts longer than 3 weeks
