I've been putting off getting an sff for about a year now but have finally ordered and SG01. I'm kind of out of the loop right now and could do with some advice.

The main things the system will be used for will be HD viewing (movies / tv shows) video encoding and photo editing. I tend not to game that much on the pc now, maybe the odd game of css here and there.

With that in mind i'de like a system with a card capable of 1080 HD, with a large HDD (500gig) and plenty of ram for photoshop. My budget is about £600 and i'll need everything (innards) except a DVD Drive.

I have no preference to intel or amd and same goes for the graphics. Though i would like to get a quality PSU.

Thanks in advance

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.66GHz (1333FSB) - Retail
Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R Micro ATX (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Dual Channel Kit
OcUK ATI Radeon HD 3850 Pro 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
Samsung SpinPoint F1 750GB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM
Zalman CNPS8700-LED CPU Cooler
Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU

Comes to a smidge over £550. Very quick machine. If you want, add another 2GB of the same RAM to take it up to the £600 limit and you're laughing really. :)

Wow thats exactly what i had in my cart, think i may go for the 500gig HDD then spend the extra on a quad core (have a 500gig external)

do they run to hot for sff or will it be fine?

That cooler should be fine - the SG01 Evo (i'm assuming you have the Evolution) comes with 3 of the 4 fan slots filled already, and the ones supplied are quite good.

Just pop something like an Akasa Amber in the empty one. :)

I also chose that hard drive as it was on offer.
