Just ordered Guitar Hero III with wireless controller ;)

Hi,

I've really been loving the demo, so I ordered it :)

I just have a few questions though...

Can you buy a rechargeable battery pack for it that's compatible with the play and charge kit? Or, even better, can you use a rechargeable battery pack from one of the controllers?

Also, I guess the extra songs that can be downloaded are all pay for? Any free ones?

unfortunitly the rechargable bat packs for the guitars are for the guitars only and have no compatibility with any other ms product :( i'm just using 2 standard rechargable AA batteries

most of the songs packs are pay for but the halo theme is free along with some boss battle songs :)
 
I put my order in with the 'rents yesterday for GH3 and Guitar for xmas. Perfect timing as I've got a load of mates coming round New Years Eve for a Guitar Heros co-op party.
 
sorry to hijack the thread, I want to buy guitar hero for my gf for xmas as she loves it, but I'm worried she has already got it for me for xmas! IF we both buy it can we take it back for a full refund providing it hasn't been opened?

A lot of places on the high street will only give you an exchange or store credit. They're under no legal obligation to provide a refund if bought in error. If you buy online then you have 7 days under the Distance Selling Regulations.

What's the problem with having two anyway..you can enjoy co-op goodness! :)

You could keep the guitar and sell of the game on it's own (here or somewhere else). Then you'd both be able to play co-op with a proper guitar :)

Mine... er, I mean my son's arrived today. It's underneath my desk at the moment. Sadly though the missus is gonna wrap it up tonight and hide it on top of the wardrobe for another 3 weeks :(

you really need to test it..just to make sure the wee bairns not hugely sad on christmas day if it doesnt work..there would be nothing worse


just remember to wipe down the glossy black finish to hide those incriminating finger prints!

but really..make sure it works
 
How robust are the controllers? I mean, do they break easily?

I want to get it for the Xbox360 but I have been postponing buying it until I go home for xmas. Main reason: if it breaks, I can return it to the shop in person without having to send it back (which could be costly given a product of this size).

Seems to be robust - I just threw mine accross the floor because I'm finding it impossible to beat Lou on Hard. And I'm good at the ****ing game! :\

only free song at the min, as far as i can remember, is Halo 3 tune.

Meant to be awesome though. (I haven't played the game)

This is why I'm buying it on the Xbox360. I'm so sad! :p

edit: Where are you guys getting your rechargable batteries from? - or can you not say due to competitor rules and what not?
 
Thats balls lol. On Expert he uses the battle things all the time and unless you are lucky they are normally lefty flip, double notes or broken string. Hard was a piece of wizz and I did it first time. Expert took me about 5 goes.
 
Just completed it on medium and I'm already just button bashing when it gets to solos etc. :eek:

Think I'll do a bit of practise tomorrow! People doing it on expert, do you have to practise the songs a bit first? lol
 
Constant playing of Beatmania games gives you faster reactions and a better judgement of what frets are going to come. If you get to a difficaulty which you are stuck on its good fun practising with hyperspeed on. The notes come so fast it can be easier for some people as your not worrying about a string of notes but instead one note at a time.
