Greetings fellow Mac users.
After 15 years of Windows based computing I finally took the plunge and placed an order for a Mac, I couldnt afford a top of the range Macbook Pro so I opted for 13 inch Macbook with a 2.4GHz Intel C2D, 2GB memory, 160GB HD and OS X v10.5 Leopard and it will replace my ageing old 2800+ Athlon PC.
I used to own a Dell laptop which came preinstalled with all sorts of rubbish, isp trials / trial software etc and the first thing I did was format and reinstall Windows. I understand that my Macbook will come preloaded with its software, will there be a lot of rubbish on there again and how easy is it to format and reinstall OSX if I needed to? I think I have OCD in the sense that I must have a nice clean install.
I have an ipod and a strong breeze would leave a scratch on it, does the same apply for macbooks?
Last question, I notice Apple dont sell an official desktop dock, what are the 3rd party ones like. I see the Bookendz dock seems to be a popular choice, are they any good?
Thanks in advance.
