seriously? a decent mouse will help to a certain degree, but your own abilites are usually a major factor on aiming ;)

was a big counter strike player many years ago (before the addiction of consoles got a grip on me) and originally used a bog standard mouse. eventually went to a microsoft 4 button optical mouse, which was quite a step up. yea the mouse helped, sensitivity etc, but aiming abilities were pretty much down to me.

tho since i've been outta pc gaming for many many years things may have changed greatly so this is only my own, rather uninformed opinion

I have a deathadder :) Very nice and comfortable :) Looks awesome - but most of the aiming will be done by you - you can adjust the sensitivity a lot on the mouse and sure once you've found that happy point you'll be a little better - but most of the aiming ability will be down to you :p

Not that relevant but I just got a Lachesis and am really impressed :) On the fly sensitivity adjustment is something I don't know how I lived without! :D

i have a razer naga for mmo's and mamba for fps they are both great mice but make sure you have a good mouse mat (i didnt so ended up spending Razer Destructor mat but i must say its a GREAT and massive mouse mat to have also comes in a case (thats the sad part about most *Named Extra companys* your paying more for packaging than the item

This tbh.
Reaction speeds and confidence in hand movements >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than a new mouse!

tbh my view is that regardless of which mouse you have, you can still only move the cursor one pixel at a time......does a zillion DPS really help?

MX518 - good enough for thee

I moved up to the 3.5G after my old DA developed the irritating squeaky mouse wheel issue which is a common fault of this model. Using it at 1800 dpi though. Don't really need the extra TBH. I'd recommend you get a decent mouse pad to go with it. I'm using a destructor and the mouse glides so smoothly and silently but there are less expensive alternatives that would work just as well. Sensor is one of the best out there on the DA. Just a shame that the build quality of all Razer mice is total crap. They usually need dismantled for some TLC as they get older, since Razer have zero customer support in the UK. For comfort though they are unbeatable and are very good for gaming, and with the dpi dialled down I've found the DA excellent for precision work in applications such as PS.

Changing up to huge resolution is handy for example, when scanning in Mass Effect 2 ;)

Also, I got hold of a Razer Exactmat which I love :D
