ive just bought it off GAME for £7.99 and it should be here today. I did have it for PS2 until the disk cracked :(
How long does the game take to complete cause if i remember correctly i was on the second island doing a mission where i had to climb a mountain and take pics so how far was i then?

Also is there any patches for this game as i heard theres some annoying random audio bugs.
 
That was just after thef first set of Los Santos missions, you have a while yet. Hours of fun basically

At least on PC version you can get Mercs, Ferrarisa dn sick Yamahas. :D
 
Yep... you've got aaaaaaaaaaaaages to go yet, especially if you play the side missions and stuff.

Which is the reason i never tried to play it again after i was finally in Los Venturas and lost my save file after a format.
 
Its just arrived this game is dope man i been cruising with the boys and im riding shotgun around the hood :)

This game rocks ive done about 5 missions and so far ive had to get a nice haircut and some different clothes which by the way aint very nice but they get better later on im sure.
And also is that samuel jackson playing the voice of the dirty cop :)

All well off to work in a bit so ill play more when i get back.

The game looks SOOO much better on the PC than the PS2 as well. I just couldnt have fun on the ps2 version with all the jaggies flying about. PC gaming has made me a snob, a few years ago I wouldn't of even noticed never mind let it spoil my enjoyment.
 
I loaded this game up the other day - downloaded about 15 new models and weeeeeeeeeeee I've been flying around town in Mazda RX7s, BMW Z4s and Aston Martin Vanquishes recently. Much more fun than the standard junk - and the game is still pretty much the same :)

I'm at the exact same part as the OP - still miiiiiiles to go yet (including the infamous flying missions.......Zero or whatever his name is....grrrr) :)

you don't have to complete those to continue the game though. they are side missions which won't hold up the main storyline.... :)

The Zero Missions are SOOOOOOOO much easier on the PC. I remember the one with the gattling gun and the RC planes bombing the aerial taking me ages on PS2, did it first time on PC, and I was eating my dinner at the same time.

Went through Zero's missions in about 5-10 mins on PC

There's a 1.1 patch but I don't think it does a great deal other than disable the hot coffee mod.

My disk is playing up as well, sits there for about 15mins trying to install and then drops with a CRC error :( I was quite enjoying my game (had got to Las Venturas and done a few missions) but then gave up for a while after a windows reinstall.

I'm pretty tempted to order another copy tbh.
 
I don't think I've ever made it to a van without flying into a corner or something. I really do suck at that plane.
 
It's pretty much all planes so I wasn't able to finish the game in the end. Odd thing is I can handle it on the PS2 version, but can't do anything not flight related on the PS2 version, or not as well as on the PC anyway.
 
Get used to the plane missions, helps if you have a joystick. The RC model plane requires 3D use of keyboard plus action keys so can be tricky, but again not that hard.

Just done the chinese hotel heist, close to the end? (Woozi)
 
sort of....

the heist mission isn't really storyline just a hell of an awesome side story :)

there are other woozie missions which you need to do as well...
