Just ordered San Andreas

Ive just played a bit more and done about 7 more missions im currently stuck on "catalyst" ive got break into a warehouse with soilders in it and then drive a forklift picking up boxes.

My disk is playing up as well, sits there for about 15mins trying to install and then drops with a CRC error :( I was quite enjoying my game (had got to Las Venturas and done a few missions) but then gave up for a while after a windows reinstall.

On the 1.1 patch said something about now able to get cars cleaned.. i didnt see it :(
 
Just playing through this again at the mo, awesome game! :cool:

I play it with a ps2 pad on pc, makes the flying and driving much easier imo, then i just swap to the mouse for certain shooting missions (zero's etc).

If you're playing on pc, i recommend installing one of the draw distance mods, they make a real difference.

The 4x draw distance mod in the video games section of this site is excellent:

There is a 10x draw distance one kicking about as well, but i found it to be quite glitchy. 4x is plenty, and keeps things looking pretty realistic. :cool:
 
Even on 32-bit settings, the mist and dust can look....well, terrible. Does anyone else have that problem?

With regards flying, if I recall correctly I managed to get the hang of it by only using Keyboard and leaving the mouse completely alone..........I think. I also did a lot of stuff at the flying school thingy.

I love the mods - definitely going to grab that draw distance mod, though. I've got a kick*** machine, may as well take advantage of it :)
 
Im only onto the OG Loc mission where you have to do the stupid dancing on the beach to get the sound system van or summit, its well stupid im pressing the keys at the right time when they are passing through the circle and it keeps coming up bad and stuff. :confused:

Had the same trouble on the bouncy car job, but i managed to pass that.

Thanks for that link to the 4x distance view mod above, i tried the 10x one before but was a bit glitchy for me to, this ones much better. :)
 
Does anyone know what the ideal muscle/stamina/fat is? when i started i went full muscle but dont like how CJ looks is there a way to lose muscle?

use the number pad in case you didnt know, well i had to anyway

Yeh same way it works in real life.

Don't eat and run about - when all the fat is burned the muscle will start being used instead.

Remeber saving counts as eating too :(

I found those missions a lot easier if i turned the sound off.
