Hi guys,

Just ordered Sky Fibre Unlimited tonight as my Sky Unlimited (standard BB) ends in 6 days, and have a few questions if anyone can help please? :)

1) Will I just use my Standard Sky Router that they sent with my normal ADSL or will they send me a new/different one?

2) Is there a decent alternative router that is better than the supplied one, and is it possible, as I seem to recall problems with using a different router with Sky some years back? Basically I want better wireless and more stable/reliable connection?

3) Any idea how long it takes to switch over? Does it need an engineers visit or the like?

Think that's it for now, though I'm sure I've missed something  :p

It would be great if an engineer did visit and installed a nice new plate/filter (and to check the wiring?)

Also, just trying to look into the BT Openreach modem thing, would be great to get one free as it seems one of the Asus routers works a lot better than the Sky Router?

If I do use the BT OR router, do i need to enter my details into that instead of the Asus or....?

Thanks for the info chaps :)

If I do get the BT OR Modem and the Asus Wireless Router, do I need to enter my details into both or just the Asus, does the OR modem auto connect or is setup needed?

Just had fibre installed, next a new router :D

Just bought a TP-LINK Archer C9 router for a cracking price so hopefully it'll be all OK?

It also has a regularly updated DD-WRT beta as well should I need it? :)
