Just Ordered!

hey guys,

i've just ordered 'ultima vanquish' system, i7 oc'd to 3.8 and i chose ati 4890 gfx, could anyone give me a rough idea of what fps i will get on the following games? i will be using a samsung 22" monitor,

css
crysis
far cry 2
empire total war

css should be at least 150 fps, crysis all max probably 30+, far cry 2 50-60, empire no idea.

I might be wrong, since I recall someone getting like 300 fps on css lol, but the others will look great on your system.

for your 22" moniter, what resolution does it go up to? 1920x1080 or 1680x1050?

CS:S will be up in the high hundreds, I wouldn't worry about that.

im not sure what res im not much of an expert, thats wicked if il get 150fps min i hope, my old syst,me i got like 30-50 lol! will 30fps on crysis be playable? or will it be jolting n stuff? do you know of any gud strategy games out at the mo?

Crysis is designed to be smooth at 30fps so it should be fine.

Although any FPS higher than 60 is useless

crysis will be 30fps on probably v.high/max settings, will is very smooth. strategy games, for fps you might want to take a loot at ArmA II, or for RTS, Call of Jaurez seems to be good.

to find out the res, right click on the desktop, click personalize/properties and click on settings (xp) or resolution (vista/windows 7)
