I read yesterday of a way to purge the pagefile as it can become corrupt .

Set your pagefile to zero & restart - then reset your pagefile as before, this is like defragging in a way as if corrupt the pagefile does not refresh

Why should they, just because they are good in a plane and your not?

They are put in the game for a reason so learn to shoot them down.

Never spawn on a hot flag without ample support, esp with armour arround. You see scores of people spawning on the hotel in karkand only to get cut down before they can change to a SRAW. Not good for you or your team.

The thing about jets / helis is that people just seem to moan about them and carry on regardless rather then think for themselves what to do about it. If you know how to go about taking them on they wont bother you (appart from on sharqui). I made a guide to AA'ing a while back that i'll dig out.

Find yourselves a good server that has rules that are enforced such as no fighting commanders / no kamikazies / no attacking uncaps ect... May i recomend www.50klicks.com

Out of intrest has anyone had any clanmatch experence on BF2? Its a totaly different style of play to pubs.

ive managed to headshot guys while they spam the spacebar (bunnyhopping). I then gloat at them and call them a retard who cant even be a n00b properly.
I prefer infantry only as no-one can camp in an APC at a spawnpoint then

Everyone has good and bad days with games, it really is like having form! one day you can be mint and have no trouble whatsoever, then the next its like you dont know how to play and are getting killed left right and centre!

Oh and bunnyhopping isn't for "n00bs" as someone put it, it's a perfectly legitimate tactic and pretty much all good clans will use bunny hopping/prone spamming to their advantage.

If your using a G36e and headshotting them well a big lol, if your using stocks at least you would be ok in a match. Basically the players who always use unlocks really do suck, and would do bad in a match/with a stock weapon

I've been playing a load of late to catch up with my Mate whos 250 points off the next rank and im over 1000 (still) annoyed that my stats having been updated since the 10th of June. i decided id make sure the server was ranked rather than relying on xfires filters so i played on an official EA one. OMG WAS IT CRAP! one of the server messages was "Base rape is allowed here" no rules at all. Fine while your Chinese but as soon as it swapped sides i couldnt get off the damn carrier. Planes killing everybody that spawned on the carrier and a chopper flying around the artillery island. None of the commanders i had did any commanding and where obviously just there to get there command badge, the squad leaders where ok, i need about 3 more hours of being a squad member before i can get the mertisus unit ribbon, god knows if i have or not because the stats havent updated in ages!

so like the op ive got annoyed at it and stopped playing

Shoot them down with what exactly? My machinegun?

The decent players just strafe the AA turrets over and over again, and it's trivially easy to avoid the missiles. They didn't even need to drop bombs on the turrets, just using the machinegun cannon was enough. As I said, planes were overpowered when I was playing.

Well if you have a decent pc you load in first, take an f35 take the j10 down, repeatedly strafe the airfield chopper and jet pad. Not hard, the essex guns are there for a reason.

The less rules the better, most clan servers make up rules as they go along anyhow.. :rolleyes:

nobody else was manning the second essex gun and i kept getting shot in it, did have a fair few decent rounds on that server but then other people joined and stuff and it just got crap. i was quite pleased that i got best Aviator in one of them, havent got a joystick so was just using the keyboard.

You usually find ways to avoid the jet whores but the fact still remains that jets are way too overpowered in the game. Some of the manuveres jets can do are just downright ridiculous especially how they can slow down to a near standstill and not stall. Some of these guys just fly around and seem to bomb you perfectly on target no matter where you are and how fast you are moving, yet its near on impossible to do anything about it. They also seem to have machine guns that double up as rapid fire airborne sniper rifles.

That comes with practise mate, but what do you expect the machine guns to do? take a few hits to kill you?

If there are jets going so slow they almost stall, well just be in an attack chopper and tv them out the sky, usually easier to do this on a jet as it has just flown past you (the hitbox is massive on the back of jets)

especailly the j10, its profile is much smaller at the front and harder to hit if they are going full throttle. F35's are the easiest jet to hit on the nose, but hitting to the left or right of it weilds much better results as the hotbox is VERY dodgy on the jet coming towards you, a lot of times you may find the tv going right through the jet.
