Sold my 360 approx one year ago due to me not gaming as much. Noticed a Xbox 360 Premium Console with 60GB HDD + Gears Of War 2 + Fallout 3 + PES 2009 for £179.99 and thought what the hell! :D

Will be moving into my new house in January and thought it would be great with the 32" Sony LCD TV I purchased on Boxing Day.

I take it HDMI will be the best possible connection for image quality?

I was using my previous 360 via the VGA cable on my PC monitor and was pretty pleased with the output. Liked the VGA cable as it had the 2 stereo leads I could connect to my Amp.

How will I be able to achieve a similar setup with the HDMI lead? Can you purchase HDMI leads with the stereo plugs?

Sorry for the noob questions. My knowledge on things HDMI is a bit limited :o

You can take the casing of an old av cable which will allow you to use the L+R sound or optical with the HDMI cable plugged in, or you can buy a MS one. Picture quality will depend on your TV's input.

Why £35? Just buy a decent gold plated HDMI cable online for about £5? The "official" HDMI is just a regular cable isn't it, no funky adaptor or anything? :s

Sorry, i meant that your TV might display a better pic with either HDMI or VGA. Yes you can use a standard HDMI lead, but you have to take off the plastic casing from the MS AV lead. Don't look pretty but it works.

HDMI carries better (bit perfect) quality.

Whether it looks better depends how your TV treats the signal (overscan, processing, ..)
