Just put in a new hard drive and computer won't start up

Bought a 2TB WD drive

Computer was fine before. Had just done a fresh format.

Now it won't boot up. It gets to the "Press any button to boot from CD" or whatever it says, and then just never gets past it.

Does anyone know why?

I have disconnected the new drive and it still won't start.

Nightmare.

First off did you format everything on your computer? Including the past HDD that was in the PC?

Then you wiped off windows and will have to install it again.

If you didn't format your old drive then...

BIOS -> Boot Priority -> The drive with the OS in as number 1.

Should load windows then.

Remove the install cd from the drive and make sure the new HDD is boot priority 1
