they were going to buy a media center pc on hire purchase for £650 (not including interest)

i convinced them it would be no better for them than the bucket they have now as they want a games pc and not a media center with the graphics power of a pickled onion.

ive just got home after picking up the 7800GT... ive just realised it has a lifetime warranty... i got a 7800GT with a lifetime warranty for £120 i feal faint...

Also, oc the 3000 they oc well, got mine to 2.5ghz!

its my old cpu and cooler so i know i can clock it well,

geil value ram is a rip now, it used to be £45 for a gig or so now its £66!

indeed should all be up and running by monday i hope. i think the best buy though has to be the 7800GT, just a fantastic price, should hold its value nicely for a while.

plus with the asrock motherboard i picked he wont have to upgrade it for at least 2 years as it takes an expansion board allowing him to use AM2 and DDR2
