I have recently reformatted and reinstalled XP on my system.
It's running like a dream now, very fast, my last Windows set up was chock full of garbage and ran really slowly with certain apps and games so I decided to reformat and reinstall, seems to have done the trick.
Anyway, all looking good now.
Just reinstalled STALKER and was hoping it would run a bit better than it did previously.
But it doesnt.
As soon as I start moving the mouse to look around, it does that "stuttering" thing with the graphics.
I've not been paying attention to any new developments as far as patches for the game etc, go. Has this been fixed yet?.
I understand that if I update/patch from the original STALKER, my save games wont work, but to be honest, if any of the latest patches address the "stuttering" graphics problem and actually work, I wont mind starting out from the beginning again.
My system "should" be able to run this at a reasonable pace, but it keeps tripping up so far.
Any advice on tweaking STALKER appreciated. I love this game, but after reinstalling Windows and finding it runs in that "jerky" manner again, I'm a bit peeved.
