i managed to activate the self destruct on my k800i (be very careful when moving the joystick to the left to 'write new message') - the phone reset and never came back on... anyway, on the way home from work i popped in to get a new phone and have an N95 now.

first impressions, it's slow - and feels a bit cheaply made. a tidge disapointing, but it didnt cost me anything and the feature set is undoubtably better than the k800i!

only real issues so far, is the GPS receiver crap - because i've not managed to get a location on it yet. And i know there are loads of tomtom threads an the n95.. is there one that works with the internal GPS? Also, does anyone know if RangeViewer works with the internal GPS.

Also, MSN.. i was on three before - and i got MSN off their mobile site, i'm now on voda and they don't seem to have it. And searching around has left me more confused than before i started.. so does anyone know if there is a version that works on the n95 and voda? I've got a 120mb data allowence, so am ok from that point of view.

lastly, any essential apps that i should hunt out for this phone? I've been studying the manual.. getting there!!

My K750i did this. I sent it to Sony, it came back working perfectly a week later.

yeah, i'm sure it can be fixed - but i wanted a new phone anyway.. the k800i will be fixed and then sold on ebay or kept as a spare. the n95 hasn't cost me anything, and i'm actually on a better contract now - which is handy.
