So as i am planning to get a galaxy note next month i figured i would have a crack at rooting this desire and trying other roms. So i have just rooted and installed cy7.1 due to seeing a thread in this forum about it lol.
Now it all went fine and phone now has it on but i have a couple questions if people can help. Firstly, my sd card still has a buttload of folders on it and music etc is still there leading me to think the factory reset thing didnt work as part of my install process or that the card isnt affected at all. Was hoping for a completely fresh install can i just wipe my card somehow or best to leave it?
Secondly, on stock my messaging had its lil speech bubbles and on the widget it used to show me if i had a new message and such with numbers on the widget, this messaging app included with cy doesnt tell me i have a new message i just get a notification icon which is small up top. Are there any highly recommended apps to use for messaging or best just to use this?
