I was just 20 metres away from where she landed.

There was a girl on top of stratford centre car park, on the other side of the safety rails and holding on to the rail with one hand and leaning out.

There was a bunch of about 15 people all with their phones out. Not to phone the emergency services, but pointing it at the girl and recording a video. :eek:Absolutely shocking. Anyway, I phoned 999, but two minutes later she jumped.

Police arrived 2 minutes after she jumped, they didnt even look at the girl, and just started faffing around with "do not cross police" tape. Air ambulance came 10 mins later and were doing CPR.

Anyway i'm pretty shocked, it was a horror movie scene. Just wanted to let the internet know.

Police didn't check life signs and did not start cpr?
If that is the case that is shocking.

Not the nicest thing to see happen.

No, my mum was a first aider, but Police started clearing everyone away without even seeing to the girl.

When the air ambulance started doing CPR 10 mins later i though WTF? my mum could have done that within seconds.

It's very un-fortunate you had to see something like that.

I am a little confused as to why Police didn't attempt to assess her, they are all first aid trained, my first instinct as someone who has the same training (Plus the knowledge I have from triaging 999 calls) would be to check if she was breathing etc, that 10 minutes could have saved her life. Did she intend to jump (I.E Suicide) or was it accidental?

It was definately intended. She was taunting, leaning out, screaming, swapping hands on the rail.

This needs to be done mate, even if you feel it isn't necessary!

I suggest you attempt to see someone about this. There are plenty of options out there.. whether you go through your GP or the Samaritans. They can both reccomend counciling services.

Is that for me? mentally? incase I go crazy?

Don't worry about me, I'm ok. I'm worried about my mum though. She keeps going on about it. "i could have done CPR" etc.. :(

As already mentioned you would have joined her in the Ambulance if you had attempted to save her.

Yeah, you're right.

They didnt take her in an ambulance though. Just covered her in a red blanket untill the investigation guys came and set up a tent on top of her body.

If this is real and Asim's not making it up then that's pretty bad people stood there filming it. :S

Although I guess people always take pictures and record this kind of thing whilst its going on; Diana's death, 9/11, 7/7, etc.

I thought of recording it and my phone even has slow motion recording, but then i thought no way. It's totally disrespecful to her friends and family, and it's better in my head than transferred through bluetooth and all over the internet.

if I see somebody prancing around a roof then I will probably just think to myself "WTH is that idiot doing?" that would just be my reaction to seeing such a thing, I don't know the person so trying to understand their psychological issues isn't my problem.

That was not my reaction at all. It seems we are completely different.

I instantly thought. "Oh god no, I wonder what that poor girl is thinking, what has happend, where is her family. Please don't do it."

NOT: ""WTH is that idiot doing?"

My impeccable photographic memory isn't helping. The scene has been carved into my brain.

How old was she? What sort of people were standing around filming?

She was about 18-25. The filmers were mostly chinese/jap and a few black youths too.

Man, ffs, If only I had gotten there earlier I would have gone up there and tried to talk her out of it.

Nobody was trying to talk her out of it ffs. They were all just standing there with their ****ing phones .

FFS man, i don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. I keep hearing the sound when she hit the ground. :( It was a huge thud mixed with cracking noise.

Thanks for all your kind words guys. Absolutely no offence taken from disbelievers.

Last night I couldn't sleep at all, kept thinking about the incident. But today we went Colchester Zoo and I took about 450 photos. Processing the shots will deffo get my head back on track.

...The quote says police witnessed her falling. I'm pretty sure they didnt, as they arrived two to three minutes after she fell. And there are tall buildings everywhere on all sides.

Also, I'm gonna go out tomorrow night and get totally wasted. :D
