I bought an old banger about six months ago to use for a short while and the mot test and tax have just run out (taxed to the end of March, mot test April 20th), so I got a company out to collect and scrap it (I got £120 cash
)
The garage I bought the car from said that there was a problem with the v5 - the previous owner who had px'd the car filled out the wrong section, but the garage would resolve the issue.
I still have not received a log book. I've texted/called the garage a few times, but they don't seem bothered. I haven't got the time or inkling to do any more chasing.
Should I just not bother? The car isn't registered in my name - could there be any come back? Surely someone (other than me) has got a tax renewal letter three weeks ago
Many thanks
