Hello,

Ive just set up my 32" 720p << :( HDTV as a second monitor mainly for watching films. I have it connected to my 2900XT.

Now I had it on a VGA connection for a while which forced it to 1366x768 resolution. Now I got my DVI-HDMI cable today and just put it in. What is the best setting to run it at as it seem to keep defaulting to 1920x1080 @30Hz with 1080i <<< (which i dont understand)

Is this right with it setting to 1080i??
What is the best to run a 32" at?

Thanks all.

Run it at the native resolution of your panel. Providing of course your DVI input will accept anything other than 480p/720p/1080i/1080p

What's the exact make/model of your TV, and someone should be able to tell you.

Its a Hatachi 32LD8D20U A

In the ATI CCC I can select :

1280x720 @50hz
1280x720 @60hz
1920x1080 @25hz
1920x1080 @30Hz in the HDTV mode selection.

If that helps :)

I'd have thought it would look better on VGA cable running at native res than trying to scale an 'HD' res from an HDMI cable.
