6950 trifire
XFX (Running really hot)
MSI (Running really cold) >.>
I didn't think the MSI had two xfire connectors, so I bought the xfx to bridge them (doh)

I have a three monitor set up, can I connect one monitor to each graphics card or do they have to all be connected to the first?

I know you can only use vga to dvi adapters in the first dvi slot on one of the 6950s. does the second graphics card's first slot take a dvi adapter if you've used one in the first slot of the first 6950?

And depending on replies above, help me get my 3 monitors working... :|

I have only vga cables (they are dvi-d monitors, but I don't have cables yet, they arrive on teusday)

You need all 3 monitors attached to the first card. Actually, depending on the motherboardf, you can have them connected to a different card - but they must all be connected to the same card. It's easiest to use the first card.

What adaptors are you planning to use and what connections do the cards have?

Once you get your DVI cables, the method I would use is three DVI cables, one of them bridged with an active DisplayPort to DVI adaptor like this one

XFX and Sapphire both make "ACTIVE single link display port to DVI adaptor" and "ACTIVE single link mini display port to DVI adaptor" for around £25.

Thank you, exactly the information I needed.
