Just Signed Up!

well been having a play around with my clockspeed and vcore to try and get a nice fast stable system for four standard clients that I can run my fans @ low RPM 24/7 for nice silent running whilst keeping reasonable temps..

think I have finally cracked it :) clock is now 3.745Ghz, 1.392 load vcore, got 4 standard clients running and temps not going above 55c with my fans at 1000RPM so now very pleased :)

I have no idea what the units are but for your info the 4 I am doing at the mo benchmark as follows:

2621: Ave Time = 4min 41 secs
3908: Ave Time = 13min 48 secs
3906: Ave Time = 3 min 42 secs
2614: Ave Time = 6 mins 00 secs

and have also done a couple of 2620 Ave Time on them = 3mins 14 secs

nice I will have to take a look, although when I have looked at some of the descriptions in the past I get a message that the unit is new and has no description!

I have got 6000 points so far this week started friday is that any good? Got another couple of the machines here at the house crunching as well now :) this is as adictive as overclocking :)

Adictive :D

I started with a single P3 - now have 20 pc at the office and else were crunching for me.
and 6k in 5 days on standard units is great going (smp is the way forwards for uber points 3k+ a day for your quad alone :)

Nice going with those clocks.

I was wondering if you're running a Vista machine or XP, as the winSMP client doesn't like Vista it if you aren't installing it as the GodAdmin, I found. Normally admins don't have sufficient privileges. Enabling that account and then installing it that way was the only way I could get it working.

Am run 32bit XP, tried installing the SMP client but couldnt get it to work.. didnt seem to like my overclock
Ah OK it most likely was the overclock. F@H is by far the best stress-testing app about . I'm back on XP Pro now anyway - just couldn't get on with Vista.
