Was playing Dead Rising, This game is annoying, has no auto saves, died and went back incredible far, got back to the same bit again, forgot to save, died again.

Got annoyed, resulted in controlled smashing off the wall.

Am i alone in this madness?

I smashed my controller against my head earlier while playing PES6 online.

Some broken plastic around the sides, and the Battery case at the back is smashed, but lucky some tape fixed it :D

Its a good game, just some annoying parts.

1. No autosave
2. When somebody is shooting at you wish a Smg, you cant do anything about it the whole time there shooting as you just stumble about.
3. Trying to rescue survivers they keep getting stopped at every single zombie they meet. so when i try to kill the zombie beside them, i end up killing the survivor also.

And more.

1: Don't need autosave as there are more than enough save points in the game (Not all WCs either)
2: Shoot/hit back? If its a boss your getting hit by, then your doing something wrong, as the only boss in the whole game that requires more than two hits is Brock (the final boss).
3: Set a point in the distance for your survivor to run too and straight away kill any zombies in that line. If you have the small chainsaws this will be a lot easier. If a survivor does get stopped dont jump in there feet first, e.g. by swiping the katana in that general direction. Do some attack you can accuratly aim, like a SMG or jump kick. Or even do that move where you run into the zombie, grab the head and smash it onto the floor - just as effective.

Tip 4: make sure your playing this in HD too, makes such a difference ;)

Really don't see what people are moaning about, there are more than enough saves points - not all in the loo either. When you go past a save point, save, problem solved.

Also, if your dying a lot then im assuming your a quite low level, as anything over around 35 is very hard to die on.

The only bit i think is annoying with DR is the survivor mode, where you can't save enough you wanted to.

I agree considering the Xbox 360's ability of mass storage (compared to older consoles) this SHOULD in theory enable more complex game saves, however Dead Rising seems to lack this.

Overwise it's a fun game - now were did I leave that lawn mower, umm.

Its not that they can't, the wanted it to be more challenging

The more challenging makes it less fun, I'd rather be able to have more close together saves than have to strive for each.

This is the kinda thing that makes me put down my game and not bother again.

I know, i like Hitman way, X amount of saves for each level depending on difficulty, something like:

Easy - unlimited
Normal - 7
Hard - 5
Assasin - 3

Thats your fault and no-one elses.
Yes it's a hard game, back to when they used to be.

Hehe :)

The weird thing about Dead Rising is as you level up, the game becomes easier. The cases/scoops don't actually become harder either, you just need to organise your time and prioritise (spelt wrong probs i know). If you look at how many items you can have in your stock at > lvl 40 it silly. I played the whole games with two mini chainsaws and the three books and always had enough space for several health items.

It really is a simple idea. If your health goes down by a few squares, use a health item. As soon as you have used it grab a replacement item, again its silly the amount of these scattered all over the mall.

Granted, the game is challenging for about 15 mins (until you can get the chainsaws from Adam), but the more you play, the higher your level and the easier it gets.

All this has inspired me to play through again...mwah ;)

Aye, by the end (lvl 50) it's all about working out the best timing strategy and keeping survivors alive; by this point you really won't be dying.

I love this game (my 940 out of 1000 achivements are testament to this); it's action, strategy, rpg; comedy, horror, action all in one. A truly next gen experience (imo) so pfffffttttt to all who nay say it :P

edit: Now some of the Burnout: Revenge hot laps and preview events, some of the level 8 Saints Row activities and TDU Tantalus - these I could understand you throwing a controller for.

Not played Burnout in a while actually, I do recall actually jumping off the sofa and around the front room when missing burning laps by fractions of a second
