I wanted to play games again so I have decided to sell my Macbook. Had it since early Sept and it was brilliant, but I couldn't live anymore with out playing the odd game. Pity Mac's are so expensive.

I'll miss it.

Thats what consoles are for - the odd game here and there and leave the Mac for "the rest"...

Shame you've parted your Mac - perhaps winning the lottery this weekend will be of help :)

I had the same problem as you, so I bought a Macbook pro and installed Windows on it. Hope your new PC goes well :)

Horses for courses. The MacBook simply didnt meet his requirements, theres no shame in that, although I wonder if a MacBook Pro would be a better option (however expensive).

Good luck with the PC build. Make sure you read the instructions. :)

Good choice, it's only a matter of time before the disks fail in them. Had two fail on me so far and Apple have been about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

just do what i do and have the best of both worlds:

:)

when i wanna switch, the tablet and mac keyboard slide nicely backwards out of the way and i grab the bluetooth keyboard and mouse (logitech dinovo to be nice and minimalistic) and click "source" on the monitor :)

I was chewing over the idea of selling both my pc and laptop to get a macbook pro (naively trying to convince myself it'd play games well), then i came to my senses and just sold the laptop to fund the a regular macbook and kept the pc :) - because of this setup i didn't need the bigger macbook screen, dont wanna play games on it so dont need the video card, and i think the macbook looks better so think i made the right choice :)

Same here - Switching to the beefy Windows desktop is faster than rebooting in to Boot Camp, and gaming performance isn't compromised for the sake of an all-in-one set-up. Win-win!

I've had plenty of Macs that have never had a disk failure..although I've had many PC's that have suffered from failed discs..shall we cease to use PC's too?

I fail to see why Apple stock and regularly supply disks (including through applecare) which are fatally flawed! That is all! For the premium you pay for macs, I expect to be looked after, and for the product to be exceptional, (e.g. not discolour!)
