Hey everyone just wanted to say hi and get some advice please.

Ok so i'm new to pc gaming and i'm going to build my first gaming pc :)
After spending a few weeks deciding what parts i wanted i think ive made up my mind on what i want, this pc is going to be used for gaming 95% of the time and a bit of web browsing.
Here is what im going to get.

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge)
Gigabyte P67A-UD4 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard -
G.Skill RipJaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C7 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
EVGA GeForce GTX 570 SuperClocked 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache
LG GH22NS50 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter
Cooler Master V6GT CPU Cooler
Corsair TX 650W ATX SLi Compliant Power Supply
Coolermaster HAF 912 Plus Case
And some sort of ssd

Unfortunately with my budget im going to have to order in three parts, so this week i ordered my case cpu cooler and ram. This is the Ram i ordered

Now the day this stuff got delivered i checked the website and i could not believe that Gskill have released there new Ripjaws x

The thing i would like to know is will the ram i bought be not as fast as the new Ripjaw x? and is it worth me changing them ?

And last of all do you think this build will be good enough to run todays games on fairly high settings ?

Thanks guys :)

Looks good, though tbh I would not pay for an EVGA SC card - the price is too high and the OC is too small imho. For £50 more you could get a GTX 580.

As for the RAM, the stuff you have is good, I would not go to the effort of returning it - looking at this article a decent 1600MHz kit will be ideal with a sandy bridge system. Just remember that with SB 1.65V is the very limit - you would be best to run them at 1.5V, which will probably mean you will have to loosen the timings to keep 1600MHz.

I would suggest you switch the PSU to this one if you are buying new - almost the same price, modular and better efficiency.

Thanks very much for the info i really appreciate any help.
When i build this pc in a few weeks if i get stuck on anything would it be ok to get advice here on the forums ??

Where else would you go :). Ask away, loads of people on here willing to help. System looks pretty good. What are you upgrading from?

Thanks man, this will be my first pc build i've mostly allways played on consoles :(

I have allways wanted to play games on the pc but allways thought i would need an ailenware or something for £3000.

To build one i thought id have to be a rocket scientist, but with the research i have done it does not look that hard. There are a few things i'm not 100% on but im sure i will get there :)

Thanks again for the info guys it is nice to know i can get advice here :)
