Hi there, I have saved an order :
4870 512Mb
Q6600 SLACR
NH-U12P
I currently have spare an IP35 Pro / Corsair HX620 / 4 * 1Gb OCZ PC8500
Been a while since I got rid of my C2D so was wondering these will work fine won't they, can't see any problems myself.
Not hoping for stellar clocks from the Q6600, 3Ghz would be achievable fairly easy yes?
Only got 3 extra fans and 1 HDD so the PSU shouldn't struggle hopefully, knew there was a reason I bought the 620 previously.
Now the problem with the IP35 Pro is I can't remember if I have flashed it, I am sure it's on the 14 BIOS but it support Quad out of the box yes so I shouldn't necessarily have to flash again, will if I have to
FInally the 4 stick of RAM, been reading that I would be advised to run around 2v on the RAM, and increase my northbridge by .1v and ddr2 ref voltage 2%?
I've already done the bolt mod on the motherboard, so hopefully I should be good to go, I was tempted by a new board, but I'd ideally like to get a bit more out of the Abit
consider it a send off as they pull out of the motherboard business.
