I liked it, you could see they have put a lot of effort into it.

However I learnt when I once posted a question in GD about my dissertation that this is not the place for serious answers about homework etc. It's been a bit of a mistake posting here because now the poor kids have loads of dislikes on their video which may be a bit embarrassing for them when showing it at school.

For the kid being bullied, he should really just remember this is grown men mocking him for his weight. Men laughing at children about their weight? I think I know who I am laughing at more...

It seems too easy for some people to forget there are real people behind the user names.
 
Not a bad idea but the execution wasn't brilliant. The audio being the weakest part. See if you can get hold of a better camera and audio recording device and try again.

As for adults making fun af an overweight kid - welcome to GD. :rolleyes:
 
I watched it again, and you know what's really annoying me? (EDIT: apart from the obvious)

That little red cart. WHY are you pushing him on it?
You do realise that if you turn the handles from side to side it actually accelerates forwards?

I thought the acting was a little wooden and the plot was thinner than a Tescos value slice of bread. I couldn't quite work out if it was it neo-noir?

The story line made little sense and also I feel the main characters being underage homosexuals with the chubby child taking the role of the male role and the the slimmer one taking the role of the effeminate wife was modern but misplaced.

I also think you should have consulted or hired a professional stunt crew for the cart scenes as you risked injury. Plus they could have swapped a rotund child sliding down a hill on a cart to an american muscle car flipping over and blowing up in a fireball.

Depends on if they have REALLY put the word out about this vid on YT. My guess is they have in which case their mates WILL know about the number of dislikes. But if they havent spread the word they can just take the video file with them to school as a .wmv or something and show it to their class.
 
Sometimes its not a good idea to praise what is essentially rubbish. I can't see how that can help the kids. Its not good, start again and have another go and try and figure out what you did wrong last time.

If you put yourself out there and ask for peoples views then do it on an internet forum. You will at least get honest views mixed in with people being *****. If he shows it to his mum, dad and brother and gets their feigned approval he will probably keep putting out ****. It was never likely to be spielbergesque but getting the right feedback for the quality of work you have produced is vital.
 
Okay everyone, we know it's rubbish, that's half the point, all we wanted to know was if anyone on here found it funny. We really don't care about embarrassment, all it is is a bit of fun for prep that people in our class will find funny.
Second of all, I'm sure that not everyone on here is Mr.Olympia so you're in no position to call him fat, he could have all kinds of issues that you lot don't know about, fortunately he doesn't, but as a few of you will be overweight then you're merely insulting your peers as well as a stranger by mocking fat people for their size. It's really not on unless you are best friends and it's banter or something like that.
 
In fairness to the big lad he's still young so fatness might well sort itself out with a bit of work and time.
 
Don't let others on here bother you like that (about your weight/friends weight).. if you find something offensive then RTM it. Usually, people who make fun of others are insecure themselves and have/had issues in their own lives, be it past or present.

He is young and fat. Maybe if his family did not feed him all the time we would not be saying stuff. If you can't take people saying stuff like that about him over a forum then god help you when people say it too him with you there.
