Hi all

So today I spooged £540 on the following from the Triumph store in Stratford upon Avon:

Helmet: HJC IS-17, including pinlock visor, chin curtain, breath deflector, and sun vizor.

Jacket and trousers: Alpinestars Andes Drystar. Loads of vents and a zip-in thermal lining. Waterproof, but how waterproof remains to be seen.

Boots: Blytz Roma waterproof. Seem fine, they fitted well and had ankle and shin protection.

Gloves: Ixon RS-RIDE HP summer gloves. Knuckle protectors and some other stuff.

Hoping this lot (apart from maybe the gloves) will do me for winter or summer, wet or dry.

I've got the same helmet and love it (different colour).

I do a 40min commute and my "waterproof" textiles just aren't, end up sat in a pool. Bought some overpants from ghostbikes for about 15quid which are awesome.

Jacket isn't too bad as it runs off, arms stay wet as they get most of the brunt of the rain. I wear a viz jacket in rain which soaks some up too.

I hate to hear about textiles letting water in. I have my HG set of textiles... Toureg or something I think. Only time I ever got damp was after 8 hours solid riding in torrential rain. Damp feet and hands. (So yes, not the jacket or trousers leaking).

I am not looking forward to replacing this.
