Tas been a long time since i cruched but felt the need to start up again with my new PC Core 2 Duo overclocked to 3.6ghz.

Work done 211.36 Avg 18.54 is that any good?

you started with SETI right?

If on 24/7 your average for a core2duo you should be crunching over 1500 a day and the average will catch up after a week or two.

take a look here for the optimised seti clients = more points

http://calbe.dw70.de/seti.html

select the correct operating system and then the ssse3 option for core 2 duos

Sound advice in all cases - especially the optimised client. It's not as 'radical' as the old optimised clients used to be, but every little helps.

Welcome back. I remember you the first time around. :)

Hi Berserker, thanks for the mention.

Yes I'm part of the OCUK team, and was quite active a couple of years ago crunching Seti work units on an Barton XP2500 :)

I will take a look at the optimsed clients thanks for the suggestion.

How long (roughly) does it take for pending credit to be applied?

I got about 2500 from last night that is just sitting there :(

Hey guys, I also am looking to get crunching SETI again for OcUK. Haven't done anything on the team since the classic seti client.

How relevant is the 'Official BOINC' sticky? Looks a little out of date.

Do I just need to optimized clients on the linky above? Any other progs I might find useful? Will be running on core2quad vista64 and Athlon XP Debian.

Thanks peeps and hi to new members too.

Ah another one back to the fold. Welcome back.

Yes follow the Sticky and download one of the optimized clients.
