Hawksmoor Sunday Roast.

Utterly utterly sublime. This was roast beef that was more tender and flavoursome than about 90% of what other restaurants sell as fillet steak (although compared to the 1.2Kg Chateaubriand you can just about see in the middle of the table it was a long way off

)

I'd suggest that for £17.50, everyone should experience it at least once as it isn't exactly expensive! although the total bill was almost £500...

For the curious the wine was a 2004 Lamborghini Campoleone.

Was a fantastic roast and amazing value. I think I'll be taking more Sunday trips to the Hawksmoor just for this...

The magnum of Lamborghini Campoleone was £120, we had a few drinks at the bar beforehand as well and I think we spent around £170 all in on drinks. So, not that much really and not that expensive in the scheme of things, certainly one of the more reasonably priced reds of that calibre
