Hi all, long time reader, just signed up.

I have a q6600 on abit iP35 pro XE, with 4gb DDR2-8500C5 dominator, been trying for years but can't get it stable at 3.6. It is a high VID chip (1.3250v), so i'm starting to lose hope in the chances of it ever getting there (have tried upto 1.55v in bios~1.47v in CPUz)!

best I've had out of it was 3.4 ghz (done at 9x378 and 8x426 at different points in time), which was 1 hour OCCT stable, also had 3.5 (390x9) stable enough to play portal for 5 hours, but crashed within 10 mins of prime.

so i'm back at 3.2 now (9x356)which it seems happy to go all day long at 1.32v (which is kinda why I'm convinced it should be able to go higher). have tried altering NB volts upto around 1.37, but made little difference (needed 1.33 for 426x8)

I have lurked my way round these forums looking for answers for ages (this thread helped a lot http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=11899221 thanks guys) but im still a bit confused about the realtionship between some of the voltage settings and stability, specifically Vtt and the SB settings (1.05v, 1.5v) so i've never really tried changing these.

thanks in advance for any suggestions,
