My first post on this forum

Have built my own PC quite a few times over the last 20 years but never built one with overcloking in mind.

My current PC:
Athlon 64 3400+
ASUS A8V Deluxe Motherboard
1 Gig ram
Geforce 6800 AGP gfx card.

I had a middle range budget of £700 and so far my new PC consists of:

Foxconn P35AP-S motherboard
Quad Core Q6600 GO SLACR
Artic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 fan
4 x 1Gig GeIL PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency ram
Corsair HX520 power supply.
200 gig SATA hard drive.
Leadtek GeForce 8800 GT ZL OC 512MB

case: some generic one which Ive had for years. Its got a side window/small fan plus Ive put two extra small fans at the back.

Im currently halfway through building it so havent got to the 'flick the switch and see if it blows up stage yet'

Im sure once I got it running stable I will have some questions about how to overclock it. Maybe will post a picture of it when its built.

Quick replies! Im interested in what people do with their PC's once they overclock them. First thing Im going to try is see what some of the newer games in Mame play like.

First thing I do is test stability, then benchmark. I then carry on watching movies, playing the odd game, listen to music, browse the web etc etc
