Not paid much attention to the PC scene for a while and decided now was the time to prolong the life of my pc.
Went from 3500+A64 > 4200+X2 and x850xt > x1950pro
Substantial increase just installing the hardware without even touching O/Cing. One useful tip possibly I found was while installing a Noctua NH-U12F heatsink was the old AMD standard back plate was stuck fast. Instead of removing it and using the Noctua one I left it in place and it worked fine, saved a lot of messing around!
Cpu now running at approx 35-40°C up to 48°C during 3dMark06. Recorded a reasonable 4431, no world beater but over double what it was doing before...
