Grr

I keep finding myself flinging work off in to the middle of nowhere by releasing the space bar too quickly, making panels disappear or contract when all I want to do is move them, and they still haven't fixed all the UI/OS inconsistencies and annoyances (such as zooming out whilst selecting, etc).

The biggest annoyance of all, however, has to be the sub-pixel selection/transform ability. How do you turn it off? It's a nightmare for web developers.

I've turned on "snap to pixel" in the create shape dialogue, but that only affects initial selection or creation, not transforms.

Any idea how to get the old behaviour back?

TBH I hate CS4. I use it as you do - for web development and it's a complete PITA when you're trying to get things pixel perfect.

I tried messing with the settings but in the end i uninstalled and went back to CS3. Not the answer you were looking for, but you can't argue with results ;)

Holding one of the modifier keys with the marquee forces full pixel selection (I think, don't hold me to that!). OR, drag out a guide using the SHIFT key, that'll force the guide to snap to pixels, then you can select from it. I normally have guides all over the place when webdevving, as you typically need those selections more than once anyway.
