Id seen this film years back when i was younger, and i remember laughing a bit at Steve Martin, But i was only about 12 or so at the time.

But i just watched it tonight, and its definately one of the funniest films ive ever seen. I am a big fan of comedy films, but the script and the way he acts in this is just so clever.

Some of the best scenes are
the kitten juggling,
when he is lying in bed with marie counting the days hes known her (great stuff)
and the sniper guy shooting the cans


I just want to recommend it to anyone, incase they missed this great comedy.

yeah when he runs inside, and there is more cans! hahah
 
yeah i really love The Jerk great film one of my favourites, along with The Man With Two Brains and Bowfinger, Steve Martin at his very best
 
I love the bit near the start where he starts crying when his black parents tell him he's adopted and he says "you mean I'll always stay this colour?" or something similar. I also love the whole "optigrab" thing.
 
I'm pretty sure I watched The Jerk the day after the hurricane of '88. I decided not to go to school and spent the day at a friends house. I've seen it a couple of times since then and I still think it's a great film!
Bowfinger is another great Steve Martin film.
 
The Jerk is my favourite steve martin film and just shows his comedy genius all the way through.

The Sniper bit is excellent and very funny

Highly Recommended to anyone how hasnt seen it :D
