So I saw earlier that geforce experience needed updating, The update started but kept failing. Went onto the Nvidia website as I needed to download the latest drivers. Manually uninstalled my current drivers. Restarted, went to install the new drivers and the installer kept on failing to install. I tried googling the problem and I tried a few different fixes but none worked. Opened device manager and saw the GTX 1060 want even listed. Just Intel graphics and basic windows display driver. Tried ddu remover just to check all drivers for Nvidia we're removed, restarted again.

I thought I was going to have to reset my pc but all of a sudden the screen flickered and the GTX 1060 was back listed in device manager. Nvidia control panel was somehow back installed and the old graphics driver.

I just don't understand what happened. I now don't have geforce experience installed. Just tried to install it now and it won't install, comes up with an error.

Anyone else had this problem?

TIA

Have you got the latest BIOS for your MB?

If not i would flash to the latest BIOS as they usually include improved compatibility for PCI-E slot - and this may have been the issue.

If the BIOS is up to date perhaps clear the CMOS and re-apply your clock as it may have become corrupt and starting to cause instability/anomalies...

Thanks, just checked my BIOS version and I was on 1402, checked ASUS website and the latest version was 1603. Just downloaded and installed it so hopefully that may have solved the problem.
