its just pricipals mate. if you dont mind spending the money then good for you. I just hope its worth the extra over my scythe ninja, because thats why i wouldn't buy a tuniq for £50;)

lol, not worth paying more than 25 quid for a cooler, otherwise you should just spend the extra cash on the next cpu up in the list.

thermaltake big typhoon cost me £18 inc vat from local shop. and under full load created by snm max cpu temperature goes up to 47c. very good performance at keeping my opteron 146@3ghz nice and cool on the cheapo and damn quiet.

Ummn, no.

For 40 quid I can't get a E6700, and either way your going to need a very very good cooler to get either of them up to 3.6+ghz.

Keeping a Single core cool is easy, a heavily overclocked dual, isn't.

I've looked at all the coolers out there and the TT120 is the best, no two ways about it.

So thats why im getting it.

40 quid is a waste of money on an air cooling solution. anyone mad enough to want to spend that much money when there are cheaper alternatives that are just as good should save that 40 quid up and buy some common sense. :p oh well, at the end of the day, stupid is stupid does. :p :p

LOL, your one to talk.

Im yet to find a £20 cooler that performs as a £40 one.

If I spend money on a cooler, £20 here or there really doesn't matter if im getting the best.

£50 on an air cooler is 100x less mind-numbingly idiotic than someone who pays pays £500-£700 for a CPU, so I think he can be forgiven for this one.
