The console is dirt cheap even when bought new and so are the games. Now I've been youtubing and a lot of the Elite gamers who still have a thing for Nintendo say how much fun and how great the games are.

So you've got a cheap console with fantastic games which are also cheap so why on earth dosn't it sell that well in europe are people really that brain dead they fall for marketing over quality or am I missing something?

The whole it's only aimed at young kids holds no water and even if some of the games are what dose that matter if those games bring great pleasure. Take Mario 64 which was on the Nintendo 64 you could say that was aimed at kids but that didn't stop parts of the game being a real challenge and extremely fun and entertaining.

I find it funny when watching some vids people of made of the GameCube and you'll get other people with the same game saying how much fun they had with that certain game and you'll get some other idiot going "shut the chuck up GameCube suck eggs" <(edited alittle but you get the picture) that's a tipical Playstation owner comment.

I as you prob know from my posts in other threads I just got myself a GameCube as I just thought the prices of the games and console are to good to be true I at to take advantage of it.

I'm confused it realy just seems a lot off people are either only got into gaming around the late 90s or are simply biting their nose off to spite there face either way just like those that didn't buy a Dreamcast and let the console die off it's likely their loss.

I'd get a GC if I had the time to play it, but I really havn't had it with uni and all, maybe this summer, though I've said I'll do a lot this summer.

I do want one, as there are some fantastic games out there, but I just really can not be bothered to play some games at the moment, the weather is too good.

I got one, I got all the resi evils, Plus super monkey ball 1 & 2, Mario kart DD and F-Zero GX, I love my game cube and tbh I play on that more than my 360.

I think it doesnt sell well coz of the kids image it as.

I got Mario Cart DD coming thought the post as I won it along with some other games from the famous auction site. Is it as insanly fun as thee old snes and N64 versions of the game?

I recently PX'd my PS2 and XBOX against a 360. I kept my GC to go with the 360. Says it all I think.

Yeah it is fun, Specialy playing untill 6am with a few mates lol, Not a game for when you're on your own

Yeah i found the gamecube is really best multiplayer. Mario kart DD, super smash bros, both great 4 players :D (The more players, the more fun in my experience!)

Also have Zelda Wind Waker which is good i just dont have enough patience for it :p

EDIT: Great value for money btw. In total the console, 2 memory cards, 4 controllers and the 3 above mentioned games cost me a total of £83 in total :D

Why does no one want a gamecube? Because the good games are very few and far between. Not that the good ones arn't very good... there is an aweful lot of dross.

And not everyone wants to play 4 versions of Mario Party or Mario Tennis, Golf or Tiddlywinks either.

Why get a GC when the Wii is such a good price and can play all past nintendo games?

My DS and 360 take up too much money and I've stopped playing my GC a while ago.

Had to leave our GC in the UK when we moved over here :( We almost bought a 2nd hand one recently but then decided to just wait for the wii instead. I'd rather spend money on DS games right now anyway. We'll definitely be buying a GC at some point tho - just from a collecting point of view. Between me and the missus we have a SNES, N64, Gameboy, GBA and a DS, and will be pre-ordering a wii as soon as we can!

It's all just a matter of taste really. I'd rather play GTA and Pro Evo than Mario 64 and Mario Tennis. Maybe I'm not a "true" gamer, but I don't care. :p

I was considering buying one when it first launched but Nintendo seriously screwed Europe over with game release dates. I don't regret not buying one now and I know plenty of people with one if we ever fancy some four player Mario Kart. :)
